Position Title: Driller
Location: Western US
Salary Range: 90k-120k

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions 

  • Responsible for essential maintenance tasks, including greasing, to ensure optimal functionality of drilling equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration within the team and communicate maintenance requirements.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of drill upkeep and preventive maintenance procedures to enhance equipment longevity and ensure equipment cleanliness.
  • Ability to fill out precise drill logs and maintain accurate as-builts for comprehensive project documentation.
  • Maintain regular communication and interaction with Superintendents to provide updates and address any concerns.
  • Ability to work in loud environments and maintain all required safety PPE.

Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years of geotechnical experience
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to hit daily production targets
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to travel extensively as required – up to three weeks on duty at a time
Proficiency in welding
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and engage in strenuous physical labor
Possess vast knowledge of different types of tooling and drilling techniques
Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card

Preferred Qualifications:
Possess a valid Class A CDL 
Experience in geotechnical construction

Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required.
Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
Regular heavy lifting (75lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • E.I.T. certification. P.E. preferred.
  • Evaluate job leads and formulate cost-effective solutions.
  • Work independently on multiple projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Cost estimating.
  • Write effective proposals that are attractive to potential customers.
  • Effective at selling/closing jobs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Client management/communication.
